The MUCA Collection goes on a grand tour of Japan: For the first time, MUCA international presents over 80 iconic masterpieces from its collection of urban and contemporary art, including a world-famous Banksy-Sculpture and key works by the US artist KAWS.
The exhibition will also feature career-defining works by internationally renowned artists such as Barry McGee, Invader, JR, Os Gemeos, Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Vhils and Richard Hambleton. The show in Japan is a tribute to the icons of the urban and contemporary art scene.
It all starts with the "Icons of Urban Art - From Banksy to KAWS"- Japan exhibition from 22 July 2023 to 09 October 2023 in the Oita Art Museum. Further exhibition stations will follow in Kyoto and Tokyo.
